Outstanding story

I know the Castle-verse spat all over this concept in Beckett's mom's case, but the idea of a victim helping to catch Tyson is out of the question in actual police work. Kate isn't a help here, she's a get out of jail free card to any half decent defense lawyer.

Why in the world would Kate be telling Alexis to let her hair grow back naturally? It's directly tied to a traumatic experience, just re-dye it as close to her natural color as possible! Heck, that's what I did when I got tired of having highlights, it is not hard.

Not sure if you’ll still get these but thank you for this / I really enjoyed the story! (Even more than most of series 8!) I only discovered castle last year and love it too / was gutted when I finished it but just found your story, it kept me up all night. The end of this chapter just felt forced. Like you all of a sudden went, "this chapter needs a good heaping full of angst" and then did so. Three years and then wam we need to break up our partnership because this is the worst thing we've been through so far. In the very first episode of this show castle ends up a hostage with a gun pointed at his head... he disarmed a terrorist's car bomb with a couple seconds left by yanking all the wires, he was held hostage again in a later episode in the precinct and beckett shot and killed the perp, they almost froze to death, Beckett nearly blew up several times, was sniped, etc.

Somehow I never read this. But wowsers, it's gripping! I really enjoyed it!
