Does this story have a beta? Some of the wording is a bit confusing and you have to read it a few times to understand. For example, in the first chapter, Tom went back to 31st October and said that he would have the same birthday as Harry which would have been less confusing if you'd mentioned him being fifteen months old in the line before or something. And in this chapter, Harry's line about the troll could have been worded a lot better seeing as I had to read it about three times to understand. There are quite a few little bits throughout the story that are like that.
Despite that, this story is really good. Tom is really funny and you've managed to balance out the psychopath and brother/father part of him perfectly which makes it even better. You've also managed to spoil Harry slightly but he's still likeable (which takes quite a bit of talent). He's also not been turned into a wimp and is every bit the Gryffindor you've made him and I love Dumbledore and Snape's reactions to Tom. I think Tom terrorising Snape is perfectly in character and adding his dark mark was a nice touch. It was a bit OOC for him to put up with Malfoy for so long but then he was resolute about not attracting attention. I think that he would probably snap sooner or later though and do something to make Malfoy wet himself which would be hilarious. I really like this story. Shame it's been stopped just as soon as you've reached the climax.

I'm really glad to hear it. Those sort of stories get on my nerves because I don't understand why you have to be super rich or a 'Lord' or something just to be a powerful hero or be respected. And I totally agree with the rest of your points. The only way you can really pull off a Gary-Stu Harry is if it's a crack-fic or if there's really, really talented (like J.K Rowling level talented but then why would they be on a fanfic site?). So what I'm trying to say is, great story.

To be honest, this story in need of correction. Some parts difficult to understand (like people's reaction when Harry was babbling to Tom on the first breakfast).
But overall this is a good story. A very good story.
This story is very funny. I kept smiling amused every time I read back.
I also feel that this story is unique. Because I rarely find stories where Tom being a good brother without acting like a psychopath, while Harry became a sweet, spoiled brother but reckless like a true Gryffindor.
I was really glad to find this story. Continue, please.

cliffies are so not nice. this story is very funny. tom's inner monologue is so good. what I want is that this you actually make tom blood related to the potters somehow. It would be nice. Babies just don't appear like that and it would give a chance for interesting backstory.

Another note: Voldemort's familiar, Nagini was a female and actually only became a Horcrux in the Summer before Harry's Fourth year. So that soul piece would not have been separate from the active soul in 1981.

You probably already got this note, but Harry was born on July 31st, not on Halloween. Which Voldemort would know because it was part of the criteria in the prophecy that lead to his death.
