JimChou chapter 21 . 10/26/2018 Just finished reading this amazingly well-written story that hooked me from the beginning. I began reading because I like 'Tony meets Gibbs' stories but this one is much more than that. You are an incredibly talented writer and your story has so many layers besides the first encounter between Gibbs and Tony; the best is that all aspects of your story are equally interesting and some are never mentioned in other fics. It was such a pleasure and a stroll back memory lane to be reminded of the debuts of the internet, cell phones, etc. Being able to witness the entry of NCIS into the 21st century was a forget so easily how it was before and take all the modern stuff for granted. It was unexpected too that you would tie this to real, sometimes life-changing events. I could go on with how you showed various characters (some from the show like Pacci and Morrow and some OCs) in realistic settings, no bashing, managed to handle an interesting plot and lay the foundations for the further relationship between Gibbs and Tony, portraying them both as strong characters. And you added some humour too. In addition, as a foreigner, I read for the first time about some habits and customs in the US (such as Columbus day) and learned some stuff concerning the city of Baltimore and some language too. So thanks a lot for this amazing journey in NCIS land. It was great. |
Acacia Jules chapter 15 . 5/29/2018 I love Tom Morrow, and still am salty over loosing him to The O.C. . He's the one director I actually LOVED/liked. |
Guest chapter 21 . 7/16/2017 Love this story so much! Thanks for sharing |
Skimball4 chapter 1 . 11/9/2015 Had to laugh at the line about Gibbs refusing to dance in the mall in his pajamas...I might have snorted a little. Looking forward to reading the rest of your story. |
celestial1 chapter 21 . 11/2/2015 Well, that was fantastic. |
Talktidy chapter 21 . 4/5/2015 Hi, Wow, this is good. Great internal dialogue, great characterisation, terrific plot. Gibbs. Mall. PJ’s – loved it. I’ve read published works that weren’t a patch on this. Well done. Tidy |
Guest chapter 21 . 12/8/2014 Great story! |
shywr1ter chapter 21 . 12/6/2014 Well, I hadn't planned to just read this start to finish without stopping, but I did and, once again, enjoyed it thoroughly. Especially as we have fewer & fewer well-written, cleverly drawn stories here, it's so immensely satisfying to read such a well-crafted piece. How about taking an early retirement, to free you up for some more? (Well, a body can dream, can't she?) Thanks for taking on NCIS and sharing your spin on them - |
shywr1ter chapter 12 . 12/6/2014 Heartstrings. You found 'em. For the 911 memory for real, *and* for what it means in the story and poor Tony's six ... (And that last 'guest' review was me, too. ::waves:: My iPad lied this morning when it said it was reviewing as me. Gah!) |
Guest chapter 3 . 12/6/2014 I've been so in the mood for well-written fic, and suffering another round of craving origin-Tony, so came back to this story. (Besides, I've memorized more than half of Watchtowers by now!) This is so good. SO good! You're a master at moving a story ahead while jam-packing it with *moments.* Also, while there are tons of origin stories, not one makes such magic by celebrating the origin of, say, the orange walls and the remote along with the fateful meeting of Gibbs & Tony. I know RL can be pressing, and sometimes (gasp) people move past fic-writing - but is there any particular bribe you'd take to give us some more NCISfic? |
CornerOfYourEye chapter 21 . 11/20/2014 This was one crazy case and one crazy story :) It was brilliant! Your dialogue was very witty and I loved your portrayal of the characters and the ease or effortlessness they showed when dealing with crazy stuff :) Really well done and thank you for sharing! |
RainyDayReader chapter 1 . 10/31/2014 This is an awesome beginning! |
Jane Average chapter 21 . 4/15/2014 I really enjoyed this story on so many levels, but as a native Bawlmoron, I appreciated the slice of the city especially. The parts you showed weren't always pretty, but it's so rare to see a fic set in a city that's not made up of featureless buildings inside a white box. The time setting was well done, too. And of course competent!Tony was so gratifying. |
poppaeasabina chapter 17 . 9/23/2013 Oh, man, I LOVE this story! That's my Tony, get the bad guys fighting *each other*. |
katesari chapter 21 . 3/14/2013 Really like this! Bye |
