I found interesting the way you started it: at the beginning it's exactly as the ending of the second series... it's only when Rick is in the elevator that we discover that the story changes. Nice idea!

Interesting the fact that Gina doesn't tell Rick about Beckett because of the novel he's supposed to finish. I think it could be possible :)
