I still just adore this story. I come back to it often, and always love the sweet and simple nature of it. No complexities of the jewel, villains, swords, or time travel. Just the deep emotions and sweet comforts they find in each other. It’s fun to imagine an epilogue, where these two would find themselves in several years in their place on the mountain.

I keep reading this because it is so cute.

This was so sweet. Everything about this fic is so damn compelling, it felt as if I were watching the next Oscar-winning movie. I always enjoy stories featuring human Inuyasha because it's a challenge to not fall in the trick of OOCness. As far as I'm concerned, I think you did a pretty good job. I think Kagome was mostly out of character but it was to be expected given the fact that she didn't grow up to be a stubborn high school girl. I like this Kagome a lot. Besides, your prose is just outstanding! You should be a published author. I must admit that I sometimes thought the characters tend to go for long tirades and who does that in real life (without annoying the shit out of people)? Other than that, seriously, great job! I'm favoriting this!

I think I may be ridiculously in love with this story. It's beautiful and well written, and Kagome's backstory was so heartbreaking I actually had to stop reading a few times because I was so pissed at the world...even if it's fake haha. I love how everything came together, and I especially love Kagome's characterization. She's compassionate, generous, unassuming and a real survivor! The lemon parts were wonderful and really fit the story too, and I'm glad they both got their happy endings :). Great job!

This is probably one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read on Fanfiction. It was just amazing, I even cried, which I hardly ever do when reading here. It was so heart-wrenching, heart-warming and amazingly well written. I'm just in awe at your talent at the moment.

Ahem, anyway, I simply loved Kagome, her heart and spirit remaing strong even after what she'd been through, much like her anime counterpart (Kagome puts up with a lot of crap happening to her in the series while remaing true to herself, it's what makes her such a great character IMO) And Inuyasha... If I could hug you right now I would, because his character has been absolutely butchered in some of the stories I've read, and you just nailed it perfectly (I was going to say HIM, but... hehe, that just sounded wrong)

Well crafted and extremely well written! I enjoyed the liberty you took with your characters and the way you wove your tale. I also want to congratulate you on the way you addressed rape. It's a horrible experience and not something to be taken lightly; far too many fics glorify it in order to ensure that their abused heroine is made better because she finally gets to be with her 'one true love', as if that helps the healing process any.

Anyway, I applaud your ficlet! I loved it and your characters. This was a beautiful little story and it is going straight to my favorites!
