Reviews for Grandia The new beginning
Vlakoradon chapter 1 . 11/28/2012
Liking where this is headed, having a good read of it and it seems apparent that this could go any way you like...looking forward to what's in store! I wonder how Baal came to acquire a Spirit Sword in the first place...? Oh, I'm looking forward to this.

May I provide some tips (without causing offence)? I noticed that the amount of times you wrote Justin and General Baal were quite excessive - using the finder tool it showed 43 times the word Justin was used. It's great to see who was doing the talking or actions, but sometimes it can get a little repetitive. Maybe you could use other ways of explaining who said/done what. For example, you could simply replace a few of them with 'he', as in the most case it's only him around. Where there's more that one male, you could write 'The auburn haired man' or 'The youth' or something instead, and follow it with the action he would do. Regarding Baal it could be just Baal to differentiate. You could also experiment with ways of implementing him, or other characters, into the area with other words and phrases...like...in the fourth paragraph, the first sentence could also be written as 'Upon entering the Seagull restaurant, the place of many memories to him, he was confronted by an old lady. Her expression differed from the others he had seen on his way there, being one of annoyance as opposed to gratitude.' These are only pointers, it's entirely up to you!

One small thing too...on this website, big paragraphs can get a little awkward to read. It could be worth your time to put more spaces between a few sentences, creating more paragraphs and spacing things out. It's a little awkward to read large paragraphs on a monitor sometimes, gets a little hard after a while. Speech can also be presented on a new line for each person speaking, but I'm just being picky...

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how this pans out. I hope this reaches you in good faith as I mean no ill will in typing any of this. Keep up the good work!
