| Guest chapter 1 . 5/25/2014 I just found your story after the final episode of season 5 was aired. After that heartbreaking outcome I was in search of finding solace in some older fics, where there seemed to be still hope for Delena and where Damon and Elena hadn't yet to suffer through all the heartbreaks and ordeals put before them in seasons 4 and 5 mostly by opponents, but also by their friends and families and admittedly some of them even by themeselves. Even if they finally got to confess their eternal love for each other and its visible for everybody else - even Stefan, what does it count when they are torn apart so gruesomely shortly after it? But I ramble...I want to congratulate you for a wonderful piece of fiction, which touched me deeply. The way you wove events of the show together with your fictional events was beautifully done - and you have such a good way with words to describe the charakters to the point. Since the fic was posted a couple of weeks after the finale of season two I presume there was no coincidence with the "I can't loose you." and "You won't" - conversation, but it was a lovely twist. However, for this passage, you must have had a premonition: "Come back to me", she wispers "Please whatever happens come back to me" (They both know he can't promise her he will) |
