Reviews for A Gossamer Cage
jenwincartbark chapter 1 . 7/3
loved it
Flyby2 chapter 19 . 12/19/2019
Absolutely loved this story! So well written and thought out. I was so intrigued with the idea of Reid enjoying his captivity and, to a degree, the isolation, and how he finally thought someone really was taking care of him and caring for him for a change. “Cat” as his companion was such a nice part of the story. Reid’s recovery was well written. I had thought after being isolated for so long that he might suffer from agoraphobia when stepping out into the real world again, which would have been interesting. The only things that bothered me a bit were several misspelled words here and there (ex: too instead of to) and the swats from Gideon which seemed too demeaning to do to a grown man although I honestly can’t think what other disciplinary method might have been used. Overall, just a wonderful story, and added to my favorites list.
dragonBug27 chapter 19 . 7/15/2019
Great story! Really appreciated the amount of chapters dedicated to post-event recovery. So many stories (and television episodes blah!) end too soon for me but this was perfect :)
Guest chapter 19 . 7/17/2018
...I'm thinking, crazy as it is, Reid probably actually was better off with Hal.
Arrinye chapter 19 . 5/13/2018
I have read and reread this story so many times, it is phenomenally done. I love love love it! Every single aspect of the story is perfect. The start with Reid point of view of the attic, and then the team working tirelessly to try and find him, to the final recovery... All of it is perfect.

I have to say my favorite character is the cat, but that's because I am a total cat person. I am so glad you had an animal in there with him because I know the impact of having an animal when relatively isolated. I know that I'm biased. The cat added an extra layer to the story for me, and I don't think I would love this as much as I do without the kitty.

Anyways, your writing style is phenomenal! Characterizations, tone, plot, all of it was weaved together amazingly and created a story that I will continuously come back to. Thank you so much

jayley chapter 19 . 7/10/2016
ok, this was a really great story! seriously, i'd say that on a substance level, it was probably the best one i've ever read. very much about the characters, but with a compelling storyline as well
Chanelx chapter 19 . 6/27/2016
I loved everything about this story… so good!
Chanelx chapter 5 . 6/27/2016
Wow, I just cannot stop reading, even though I have 9 tests in the following days, lol. I'm glad you put the BAU's pov in this story, it makes it even better than it was before.

It really looks like it's a book I bought from the store, that's how well written I find this - you have very little errors in this story and it doesn't even bother me. Even though it usually does.

Once again, very well done.
Chanelx chapter 3 . 6/27/2016
I couldn't help but review - again! I just want to express the love I feel for this story, even though I'm only at chapter 3! I just love the way Reid's emotions and thought are running wild, thinking everybody has left him and now Hal as well.

I just NEED to review... But I don't think you'd mind! Geheheh
Chanelx chapter 2 . 6/27/2016
One word: wow!
I'm only at chapter 2, but I already love this story! It's very well written and also extremely original. I've never read a story with the same content or idea. Just... Wow. I'm super excited to see how this'll end!
Rehabilitated Sith chapter 19 . 5/6/2016
This spoke to on a very deep level. Brilliant job.
Guest chapter 17 . 5/6/2016
Really liking this.
Guest chapter 19 . 3/14/2016
I've read this before but just had to read it again. I just love the relationship between Reid and Gideon, and this had me tearing up at times.
I don't usually like spanking in fanfiction (unless it's consensual fun time) but this sort of works for some reason. I laughed when Jason said that Hotch would probably be fired if he tried it.
It's just such a sweet and endearing story.
Sincerely,
Jerseyrose.
NeverTooMuchInspiration chapter 1 . 9/9/2015
Brilliant story, I especially enjoyed the emphasis on the familial relation of the BAU.
