i read this back in 2014. came back to re read it because I missed the plot so much

First of all, I LOVE that you're also a Coldplay fan! I've never known anyone besides myself who loves Muse and Coldplay at the same time. Usually I find rock band fans are really cynical when it comes to Coldplay..

On to the story though, I honestly am so surprised. When I first saw your story on FF, I was skeptical, because I don't usually read stories with OCs. That's usually because I find OC stories to be extremely cheesy and terribly written because it's the authors way of putting themselves in the story so that they can be the love interest. Those stories are seriously cringe-worthy. Yours had a lot of favourites though, so I thought I'd give it a try, and I was instantly hooked.

Even if you were writing this for yourself (which I'm not saying you were, but I wouldn't blame you, who doesn't want to be with Matt?) you actually wrote a story with substance. If I'm honest, I would have liked a bit more drama thrown in there that wasn't relationship drama, but I'm not really going to complain, because your story is AMAZING. When I first read it, I was like, oh Jade, she seems like the cliche annoying insecure girl that somehow ends up with Matt because he's just such a nice guy. And while I did hate Jade at times, I know that was how you meant to write it. I'm still not the greatest fan of OCs, but I really loved this story. Maybe it was because I love Matt, maybe because you wrote it so beautifully I teared up a couple times, maybe because I'm just a sucker for a romance story right now. Either way, I loved it. I was honestly going to write you a long paragraph about why I fell in love with your story, but I seriously don't know why. I just did.

Bravo. Yours is probably the only OC story I've ever loved this much. I commend you.

OH MY GIDDY GOD

A friend of mine and I were listening to Psycho the other day and the pair of us went 'Remember that fanfic from forever ago...' and NOW YOU UPDATED! I'm beyond happy, I've just read the last ten chapters AGAIN and they are so, so good. They still give me the same intense emotion they did the first time and I must have read the entire story, start to finish, at least four times by now.

So glad you've posted again. Totally made my week!

I know this is pretty late... Actually REALLY freaking late. I got caught up on too many fandoms lately that I can sometimes neglect updates (though I always get back to it when there's free time). School was so taxing that it could drive anyone loony :))) and a few chapters before I actually decided that I'll take a break from this fic since it always got me hanging after each and every chapter (filler or not), and wait until maybe 3 to 4 updates to finally read it. It paid off for me that is.

For my review, well there's nothing more to say other than it's fantastic. 3 years worth of hard work and dedication from you and the others is worth the fucking audience and applause. This fic is one of the most oldest ones in my alert and favorites list and guess what, I don't think I've ever thought about taking it off, hiatus or writer's block. From the first chapter until the last... For 3 years of miraculously getting my interest and tugs on my feels... All I can say is Thank you. There's nothing more that I want from you or this fic 'cause everything I want in a long running fic is in here. Hands down.

It seems like I'm going on circles but it's true. I just can't really grasp the right words right now... I just can't really explain my feelings right now after seeing that it's finally down. But I'm sure as hell not disappointed that it's done. I'm contented. Happy even, I mean, I happy for you that you succeeded in finishing this masterpiece. It's a hard thing to do for anyone writing a long piece with long chapters, with much details and its realistic-ness. And ecstatic to know and read about those fics you've been planning about! :D

But if I ever get to describe your fic... I would most likely describe your fic as an old classic perfume. It's like this perfume that you've always loved but you had to put in the corner so it wouldn't run out quickly (not to mention how expensive and known it is), and also to explore new scents... But after sometime, you would most likely go back to that corner and use that perfume again. Because its scent is undeniably irreplaceable and the memories that came along with it. And if I were to describe you as it's author, you would be this owner of a brand that has never disappointed its clients, making it even more easy to invest.

Sorry for the whole perfume reference thing, I just got the dream perfume that I wanted and it's kinda like my "catnip" right now. So I've been researching stuff about it, it's also a classic and old perfume so... Yeah. I guess you could say it's easy to guess what perfume it is.

Them talking about how in love they are. It makes me so happy and so sad at the same time. Happy, because of course we've all wanted it to happen...and I'm happy on their behalves. But at the same time, it's saddening in a bittersweet sort of way. Who doesn't long for a relationship like this? Who doesn't want someone to fall madly in love with them? It might be unrealistic, romanticized, and fantasy-like, but we all dream about it nonetheless. And I am envious of Matt and Jade. But happy. Because it will happen at some point...hopefully. :P

I'm amazed at our journey together, cheesy as it is.

Just imagine...if you'd never started this story, two and a half years ago, we may have never met. You'd be some random French girl and I'd be some random American girl, listening to the same band on opposite sides of the world...
