Ummm... What the? Interesting, crazy, just plain weird. In a good way. I do think you should continue it though. My idea I had halfway through was that only Aza and Ijori lost their mouths. Technically they were the only ones responsible. But question: wouldn't the all die from starvation?

Can you extend it to give it more depth, imagery, etc? Maybe something on what happens afterwards?

Wow it is short and tragic... What will happen next? Perhaps the daughter is born without a mouth because it tuned out to be a family curse, but is outside working hard and she is supposed to be beautiful, and kind, and Lucinda is coming to see how they are doing? She can perhaps see that it was unreasonable and they have to do something to get their mouths back?
