Wow. That just broke my heart! Actually brought tears to my eyes to not see them together, after having read the other ending. Fantastically written!

Needless to say I LOVE this story! (with the original ending) I just love these two together!

I have this feeling that Edward has hidden feelings that he can't fully come to terms with, and maybe he also sort of knows of Jacob's feelings but he's too confused with himself to address it completely. That's why he does these little *things* because they're still within the boundary and don't pass the bottom line he's set for himself.
