what a great story! well written and soul touching with out being sicky sweet. The emotion that they both have for each other but try to deny and smother with other feelings is expressed with honesty and heat felt openness. The last line is the best it takes a lot for a man to admit that he loves and needs a woman as much as he loves and needs her.

It's a rare thing that I am lost for words, but I was totally speechless when I came to the end of this story the first time.

I'm more than proud of this ... I'm charmed, stunned and completely awed. Each time I thought I'd come to the best sentence in the story, there was another wonderful one after it. You carried that through right to the end with that amazing last line.

This was a truly beautiful portrayal of Derek's and Penelope's relationship, with powerful emotions running right through it.

What I love more than anything, however, is the incredible use you made of the song prompt. I loved the story from the start, but it was when I came to the paragraph that followed "Would you dance, if I asked you to dance" that I knew I was in for something truly special.
