This was such a pleasant read. I remember reading this years ago and being so happily surprised at the quality writing, the tenderness, and even adventurous route it took near the end with Shepard and Miranda escaping! That was really awesome. I loved reading this while listening to "Talk to me" by the band Foliage by the way. Just played that on repeat, feeling relaxed the entire read. I'm tempted it to read the whole thing again right now just thinking about it . . . Anyway, I wanted to say thank you for writing and sharing this. Not many stories can put me in such a relaxing yet entertaining mood such as this. Truly well done.

You know, after reading through this so far, I have to disagree with your description that this story is pure fluff. It couldn't be farther from fluff. This story has a very strong storyline and well-developed characters. This is an extremely well-written piece of work.

Rather than just fluff, I think this is more an example of just what fanfictions are capable of if they are taken seriously and written well. They can tell engaging, moving stories that leave a reader wanting more. Very good work.

This has to be one of my favorite stories for Miranda/Femshep. I read this back in 2011, and out of nowhere I remembered the part of the story with the anti-gravity chair and wanted to read it again. I am very happy I found it. I love the writing style and the way their relationship builds up. It's a great story!

Really great detail with Shepard's traumatic first memories of being spaced while learning to breathe again with the removal of her tube.

Also, the "seeding the hair" is quite a descriptive term. Like a Chia pet (tm). It really is an effective visual.

I like how you are revealing Shepard to Miranda, Miranda to Shepard, and Miranda's feelings about Shepard to Miranda.

I'm a late comer to the ME universe and only just recently finished ME2. Unsatisfied with the romance options as FemShep, I settled on unrequited love from Samara and so required a bit of closure through fanfics. But as I read more and more ME fics, the idea of Miranda/FShep grew on me. Many Miranda/FShep fics tended to be unnecessarily angsty or too out of character. This is the only ME fic I've commented on because finishing your story has left me completely at peace and satisfied. At times, I forgot I was reading fanfiction, which is often just a poor attempt at wish-fulfilment, but with your writing I could envision reading this in a book, or see the story re-enacted in a movie. Every small action/detail described had its purpose, and I had no trouble imagining their struggle and triumphs. Thanks for this wonderful story, and I hope to see you continue writing, whether for this universe or other fandoms.

Great fic, any chance of an update?

I just stumbled across this story last night and, having read the entire thing in one sitting, I sincerely hope you continue with it. This is one of the few truly heartfelt works ME fanfics I've read that focuses on a realistic relationship arc instead of using a character "what if" scenario as an excuse for Made-For-Cale quality smut and I for one am grateful for having had the opportunity to read it.

Miranda was never my favorite character even if she had great potential and an interesting backstory. You've changed my mind.
