This made me all warm and fuzzy inside. The fact that Inuyasha and Kagome's mom don't interact much is a wasted opportunity of the manga, in my opinion. Inuyasha needs a stable adult in his life. He's been abandoned and betrayed by so many people, and while he has his friends, an adult is someone he should be able to ask for advice and look to as a mentor of sorts. I don't think he's ever had that. The fact that she's like a second mother to him is just priceless.
