That should have been canon. Canon makes one want to yell at everyone for being blind oblivious fools. Up till one decides that they all are willfully blind.

That was sweet and very well-written. I love this story, and it'll probably be one of those ones that I keep coming back to and rereading. I love this idea (because honestly, Arthur has to be pretty dense to not notice anything magical about Merlin after 10 YEARS!) and wish that this happened in canon.

this is brillient. i love the idea that arthur knew but never told, and i'd love to see it continued. i think it would be interesting to see what merlin's reactions to the knowlage that arthur already knew would be...could be interesting, hu?

Oh how I wish this was what Arthur is thinking. Really. This thought has passed me on few occasions - like in Fires of Idirsholas where Merlin practically screamed a spell into Arthur's ear. Oh well.
