Reviews for From Pole to Pole
John Jude Farragut chapter 1 . 4/6
At last, Narnia fan fiction worthy of the name. The characters sound exactly like those in the book, the prose is flawless and fluid, and your explanations of the science are glorious.

Extraordinary work, and from one of the best writers I've seen in many years.
Guest chapter 1 . 1/13
This was fun. To the people saying Eustace would have more knowledge - no, he wouldn't. The whole point of Eustace and his books is that he hasn't really learnt much from them at all; he only reads them to show off. I've not seen the film, but in the book there are numerous indications of this: plus at one point it's plainly stated that he isn't interested in any academic subject "for its own sake" but only in whether or not he gets better marks (grades, for the US folks) than his classmates. Eustace knows jack - it's one reason his diary is so funny.
marmota-b chapter 1 . 8/8/2019
That was a fun exploration of the makings of things. :-) I do agree that Eustace's cluelessness seemed a bit too out of character, but otherwise, it was skillfully done - and very informative, too! And the conclusion was very spot on.
Shamelessly Radiant chapter 1 . 2/2/2017
I am too tired to read this more in depth, and have an exam tomorrow I still need to review a bit for, but your writings usually don't fail in bringing a smile to my face, and this one doesn't disappoint. I especially like Reepicheep in this.
meldahlie chapter 1 . 11/10/2016
Scientifically speaking, well done. But gastronomically, do Narnians have tomatoes?
:D
Laura Andrews chapter 1 . 12/21/2015
Simply beautiful! Reepicheep is so dear and gallant with his words about Lucy being the sun. I also love how he (and everyone else) is so smart! Yes! Away with bad movieverse!Reep & Co.
Thanks for a lovely and educational fic!
doodlesonlinedpaper chapter 1 . 4/12/2014
Wow...that helped more than three months of oceanology classes about wind and ocean currents. I love the tomato part, too. Great story!
ValiantArcher chapter 1 . 11/6/2013
Wow. This was very amusing, and yet very educational too. Everyone sounded true to their characters and this conversation would fit well in the book. Very nicely done. :)
Ariyah chapter 1 . 11/4/2013
... Now I not only wish I had Cornelius to teach me astronomy and Tumnus to teach me music, but Reep to teach me the earth's rotation. :-D

MuggleCreator chapter 1 . 7/27/2013
Wow. Brilliant.
Heliopause chapter 1 . 8/29/2012
Lovely! Thanks for this - I especially appreciate Reepicheep's strategic mind at work.
(I do think Eustace, with his addiction to "books of information", would have had a better idea of why the different hemispheres enjoy different seasons, though.)
excessivelyperky chapter 1 . 8/5/2012
"Supposing that Your Majesty is the sun – which is hardly implausible," he said with a bow,

-Dear Reepicheep, D'artagnan with a tail. I love all these explanations.
anonymous chapter 1 . 4/28/2012
WOW!Good job explaining that!
servant123 chapter 1 . 4/17/2012
Summed it up nicely, indeed. Very well done :)
Arysthae chapter 1 . 2/1/2012
Brilliant! Reepicheep and Eustace explaining science to Caspian and the peoples of the Dawn Treader? Fabulous! Two of my favourite occupations are combined! Thank you very much indeed!
