Omigosh! This chapter was simply amazing! You have both Murdock and Face pegged to the last little vocal inflection and mannerism. Heart-wrenching. Wow! It goes on my favorites list.

A younger Hannibal already ten steps ahead of everyone else, luring Decker into overreaching himself - perfect. And I could see young Face hurrying in talking fast, turning on the charm.

That was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. The story was so Murdock, and the aftermath was so Face, and it all spoke so much to their particular relationship. Very, very well done.

I enjoyed this rare look inside the team's emotions - Face's, in particular. There's a lot of depth there, and I liked Amy as the lever to pry his feelings free.

And once again, you capture the essence of every one of the characters. Brilliantly done. For some reason the line "Long ago in a foxhole somewhere their relationship had become blurred and Hannibal had forgotten what it was like to have either man call him 'sir' with any sincerity" really struck me. It was a just a Hannibal kind of way of thinking. And I'm very happy he got all four things by the end of it. Now, I see you have not updated in practically forever. This will not do. PLEASE UPDATE!

Awww. That gave me the warm fuzzies. It's kinda nice to see a pre-"crazy" Murdock and to see a younger version of Face. I feel this is the start to a beautiful friendship. :)

I actually cackled at the end of this. Wow. That...that was like a moment in an episode. It builds and builds and then bam! Murdock says something completely out of left field. That was absolutely fantastic. I also want to compliment you on how well you grasped the characters and there interactions. Going through Face's thoughts, particularly about Amy, sent me straight back to the first few episodes of the first season, before the team and her got their rhythm together. And I love how you still managed to play up the fact Amy is one of the few women who can keep Face grounded. Nicely done, I can't wait to see what's to come!

This was a beautiful piece. So emotional and poignant (sp?) and heart-wrenching. I seriously cried through the whole thing. Gorgeous. Thanks for writing it.

Since I just reviewed your other story, I probably won't confuse you too much by stating: I LIKE this pairing! I didn't about an hour ago, but I do now.

Those last two scenes are just cute. I love the way you dip into Face's mind and give your readers a bit of a backstory. Makes it all the more believable.

So I'm sitting here at work, being a terrible employee, reading this chapter and nearly tearing up. Goddam it. This is so beautiful. Oh I love Face and Murdock's friendship, and this story is wrenching and gorgeous. I love how gosh darn SOUTHERN you made Murdock in this one, haha. Too amazing. Thanks so much for writing. :)

Aw! I did love Amy so. Not as a romantic interest, because that usually ruins all the dynamics of a show, but as their ladyfriend. It really fits that they would find a way to give Face a hug from her without arousing his suspicions. Just lovely. :)

Ah, this was a good one! Loved the interaction between Hannibal and Decker. Can't wait for the next installment!

Wow...the Murdock-Face story really took my breath away. Lovely period detail and just the right amount of Texas color for Murdock, which is hard to do. Hope to read more from you soon!
