I loved this, the format, the darknessthe alternate take on season 8. I would've liked to see this played out over the length of the comics.

Wow...this is really dark...but very, very good. I like your Twilight better. I really don't like season eight and I'm glad your story is different from it but still has a few similarities.

Love this fic! I thought that the hysteria over the slayers is probably pretty realistic and I liked how Twilight wasn't a former enemy of Buffy's, just some random guy. I love how Buffy imagined what Spike would say to her and that gave her strength. Great characterization! Please write more great fics like this!

For all that you're uncertain about this story, I sincerely hope you keep it up. It's wonderfully horrific and all too easy to imagine- just reading about what Twilight does to the Slayers is enough to evoke a visceral, gut-wrenching reaction. And, by the way, that's a good thing. On top of that, you really speak to one of mankind's most frightening faults: antipathy. And all of that is just a really pretentious way of saying that I *loved* this.

"Just a man" doesn't work any better because it doesn't fix the biggest problem Joss ignored in season 8. Religion. Twilight wouldn't fly in the bible belt of the US at the very least.
