I felt a little sad about the puppy, but when a read about the kitten, I couldn't stop laughing. Oh! and the "You can't always be the Hero" rule was probably the most hard for Alfred to follow, seeing that he played himself the hero with Ivan. The way they acted on this rule was so... cute and sad.

When I read the "Don't get distracted" rule, I really thought "Yeah, right, with Alfred's attention spam, ha ha ha, really ironic this rule" and then saw that it was actually the two of them that got "distracted" with juicy lemon and yeah, I laughed again.

And the last one! I thought someone was going to die! you evil author you! Ivan, there's always tomorrow to know his name! ;o; so cute! xD

Ok, I'll stop haunting you with such a strange review and make it short saying that I just loved this one shot and you're really talented and that you better keep on writing amazing stories! ( o)/

I wanna say that this had a Left 4 Dead 2 reference in it as well. But you didn't mention L4D2 in the A/N so I'm not sure ;n; But there's a character in L4D2 that always rants and rambles random stories (I.E. Zombie cowboy) and as soon as I heard it, I thought of L4D2. I couldn't think of it as anything else afterwards, and what they were doing was fairly similar, too. In L4D2 you basically travel through level to level, making four stops in different barricaded buildings, called Safe Rooms. However, the last rule on the list made me realize it wasn't very L4D2esque at all. While I follow that rule greatly whenever I play the game (i.e. at the end of each level when rescue arrives, rescue will leave when all able members are on the boat/heli even if one other player is simply just knocked down), the game makers made it where you rely heavily on others (aforementioned rescue) and it is known quite well throughout the game that the team mates themselves rely on each other deeply and are encouraged to help each other often. Plus. The game has four Survivors.

I love these two, no matter what situation they're in. Even if this is sorta depressing, since I've never really liked end-of-the-world-zombie-stuff, I still love this fic, and the way you portray their characters.
