Love it. Just that: I loved it. I love your poetic style of writing, when you describe the sunset: I could actually SEE it while reading. And I loved your portrayal of Darry and Ponyboy even more.

Ponyboy starts to see Darry, what Darry's going through, what danger his way of dealing with the past holds and being warm, impulsive Ponyboy decides immediately what to do to help. I love their close , caring relationship and I love that someone finally is taking care of Darry too (although I think Ponyboy's wrong, when he says Darry "didn't go to Soda with his troubles either". I always believed that Soda is the one person with whom Darry doesn't have to be superman).
I love seeing the emotional sie of Darry and I love the fact that he's able to comfort and understand Ponyboy.
And: I love Ponys characterization of Darry: "He would never shy away from a fight, physical or mental. That was another thing I loved about Darry. Strongest guy I ever knew, in more ways than one." So spot on. And by the way: Pony's pretty brave himself

A sweet brotherly moment between them, and I like how Darry repeated Dally at the beginning and Johnny at the end. It's always nice to see Darry as something other than an overly stressed out jerk, and Ponyboy finally understanding just what Darry goes through everyday to keep their family together.
