Wow. I absolutely loved this story. Especially the moments with K/C, amazing writing. I hated it to end.

I'll be honest with you: when I first saw the word count I didn't think I would read all of it. I'm sure as hell glad that I did lol

Starbuckriver, your stories are brilliant. It was hard to read through them at first because they were very heavy with emotion, and depressing. But for me, that's a sure sign of a great writer when they can really make you feel the powerful emotion that you're trying to convey. If there is one thing that I really enjoy about a story is when I the writer makes me FEEL what the characters are feeling, and you did that for me. You've got a wonderful diction, and I really appreciate that in the stories I read.

Aside from the fact that your focus was on Cara (my favorite character) I think what I loved most about your story was how all of the different segments seemed very unrelated besides the general theme of the struggle against The Keeper. But by the last story you can see the deeper connectivity between the stories. And I like how you chose to order them as well, getting progressively less grim and hopeless, though all of them did have more than their fair share of grim and gray skies. It really reminded me of one of my favorite books, Cloud Atlas, which is written much the same way, delivering different stories in segments scattered among other stories.

In the last story, "Let Tyrants Fear" my heart didn't stop racing whenever Cara had to fight to protect Khalan. I was so scared for the both of them! But I did like how you rounded up the relation between the two, having them very much in character and giving simple signs of their affection for one another.

Um, throughout the back half of this fic I started noticing very little errors. I think the one I noticed the most was where you'd have an "of" or "for" where you really need a "the" or other such mistakes where you were missing a word or just using the wrong one on accident. One that I remember specifically was at the beginning of "The Breaking Point" where you separated the word towards into two words "to wards". But other than those few things, you have written a most wonderful story. And I am so thankful that you decided to share it! _

All very good stories! I especially liked 'The Breaking Point' and 'Let Tyrants Fear'! Both would be wonderful to continue reading, hint, hint.

The tragic stories of 'times they didn't save the world' are heart wrenching. Great job on pulling heart strings! I was really upset (but strangely moved) by Cara's confession in 'Hands of Power' and felt desolation at Kahlan's command to Cara at the end of the story. But, ya know... that story could continue on as well. There is 'another' Rahl about (a certain wizard named Nathan Rahl) that (c)would allow the 'Bond' Magic to return to the Rahl bloodline and thus Cara would retain the ability to harness the 'breath of life' and after fulfilling Kahlan's request - bring her back? ... more hint, hint, hints and batting of eyelashes!
