xX-SummerGirl-Xx chapter 2 . 1/14/2015 I'm very confused? |
Zacarias Aristocles Rye chapter 2 . 8/22/2014 This story is kind of a gimmicky mess. It's not okay to mask an exceedingly simple, nay, *bare* plot, with a stream-of-consciousness collage. What a let-down. |
GuesssWho chapter 2 . 8/11/2013 Very nice. |
mudkipz chapter 2 . 7/11/2013 Holy shit. |
Guest chapter 2 . 1/13/2013 iWhoa./i First chapter is excellent, but ithis/i...damn. Hats off to you. |
Minici chapter 2 . 1/11/2013 This is so very well-written, with the pacing and the ending statements. I loved your vision of Lestrade and his team in this universe (and Anderson gets a chance to redeem himself slightly, yes?). Also I hadn't read A Study in Emerald until now, so thanks for pointing me there. |
Kelllie chapter 2 . 11/19/2012 Ooooooo... chilling. I loved this. Brilliantly done! |
dandeliondreams chapter 2 . 7/3/2012 oh my gosh. yes. |
Violet Shadows chapter 2 . 6/25/2012 Only recently read a Study in Emerald; glad to see some fanfiction of this. |
GMonkey42 chapter 2 . 1/29/2012 Ahh, it's a WIP? I want more, this is awesome! |
expiry 4.23 chapter 2 . 1/22/2012 Haunting. A very expert execution of mixing Gaiman's take with your own idea, perspective and tone. There is something beautiful in the simultaneous frigidity and humanity (meant in every permutation and definition of the word) of each character: all togethet it forms this primordial, viscous soup of isolation and ferocity, choked fear, the (un)controlled detachment and hunger of an infant; ruthless denial and casual fascinations; love, connections, cognitive dissonance and unabashed bloodlust; shoulders pulled taut like a live wire and eyes wary but hooded with shame...with reverence...with desire...with a mistake too sticky for any human tongue to speak around; pain and glee; the intoxicating dance of melted glass and madness; bones and sinew and stardust; spectres. This is what your portrayal brought to mind. And may I just say, when every section is a minefield, every psyche like dismantling bombs, I confess I can't tell if I want more to grab a stick and start poking with a stick, or hang back a bit and watch the fireworks. So effing brilliant. I don't know if you plan to continue this or not; I think it's perfect as is, but I love this style of writing and you do such beautiful, tragic, curious things with it. Cheers. |
Ceri Moriarty chapter 2 . 12/13/2011 This is so awesome. :D I loved Study in Emerald, and I'm very glad that work set in that AU exists. Besides that, this is wonderfully done—you do the style quite well and the characterisations are just spot-on. …is this going to be continued? If it's not, that's fine (it's all fine /leshot), but if so, I look forward to reading more of it! |
Hikari chapter 2 . 11/26/2011 I re-read this now for the like fourth time, now listining to the Moribito soundtrack (eep) and the image of Donovan just blankly whispering (an honour, an h-hounour, an honour) never fails to creep me out. Kudos. |
Imbrii chapter 1 . 8/1/2011 Apparently you've written several of my favorite fills. Thank you, thank you so much for sharing these. |
DetectiveConanFan13 chapter 2 . 7/26/2011 While I don't quite understand what's going on, you've got me interested. I think I've pieced together a few things that surprise me but only time (or you, that works too) will tell if I got any of it right. Thanks for the story and please update soon! . Ja ne! ~J. DCF |
