First!

You wrote another one! Thank you! It was a nice one to savor on a late fall evening. I think what I enjoyed most about the story was the interaction between Astrid and her father. It's lovely to see that father/daughter relationship and their love for each other. You have to give him a lot of credit for raising his girl to be her own person while being a single father. And he loves her dragon, too, which is sweet.

The interactions with Hiccup and Astrid and their very outspoken, caring dragons is lovely, too. I like this is not fluffy and sweet but something based on a solid friendship and genuine caring.

Nice work.

Honestly, and I'll keep this brief cos it's 12:10 AM in my time zone, that it would be a shame to let this go un-sequaled. It has lots of potential,'at least for one more chapter...

He could have interchangeable legs the way Gobber has interchangeable arms. I once heard about a guy IRL who has at least 2 interchangeable legs, one for regular walking and one for rock climbing (that works so well the non-amputees he sometimes competes with in rock-climbing conditions go "uh...is that an unfair advantage?").
