Love it! Love the movie and I always enjoying reading author's interpretations of what happens between the last 2 scenes, especially when they're at the dragon's nest. Beautiful characterization of Astrid and of Toothless. The whole series is perfect.

I've always liked the elaborate idea's people come up with on the aftermath from the battle with that dragon. From your idea of them being stuck on the island to Hiccup being trasnported back to Berk via back of a dragon while Astrid tries to keep his delusional thrasing at bay. It's so angtsy~

And somehow, they all have one thing in common: The amputation of Hiccup's leg. Dreamworks couldn't elaborate on it due to the rating, but that's what us FFN writers are for~ _-

You have no idea how relieved I am that I'm not the only one who thought the ending could have been extremely angst-tastic. Whenever I talk of how they probably had to amputate the leg on that island with no herbs or anything and that Hiccup probably suffered post traumatic stress or something, people just look at me funny, then proceed to walk away or tell me it's "just a cartoon."

Ha ha but you have an amazing skill, and have these characters down. You might as well have written the stories to begin with!

Hiccup's leg getting cauterized, yikes! There are so many ways I've seen people write how it gets taken care of, that after events before he wakes up in the latter part of 'Where's Hiccup?'

Good one! I like how you had stuff about Toothless being injured too (Toothless bouncing around hale and hearty and as helpful as he wanna be the day after fight can be fun to read but also seems less in-character for how he looked in the movie). It'll turn out that between the cauterizing and the bandaging the healer did some stitching (to cover the cut ends of Hiccup's leg muscles and bone with skin since cauterization alone can't close *that* big an opening), right?

This is really good! I especially love the last line- it's... I don't know. Sad, yet hopeful. It's perfect. :)
