The Unicorn chapter 18 . 9/19/2018
Great story, not familiar with the original canon but you did a very good job of making the story fit the 1940s.

I want to thank you for this piece of art.

I love how it was mainly a case fic, but you managed to include SO many issues in a story that is - considering - not that long for the amount of themes you treated. Racial and sexual issues. Love and grief. I can't even fathom how you could have managed to pull this off.

I loved Morgan worrying about his skin color.
I loved how you hinted at Emily's pregnancy (if guessed it) and at Reid's illness (I'd guessed he was ill, too). I loved this all. I was expecting the proposal, because that's what a gentleman with a couple of years to live would do. I genuinely think Reid would have asked her to marry him even just as friends to protect here virtue.

I love you for this. Thank you.

I loved this!
Cold Moon chapter 18 . 12/21/2016
This is a fantastic story and I congratulate you on the research. It must have been a lot of work to trudge through a lot of information and use all those little tidbits.
I love the way you portrayed the characters, adjusted them to the period and made them develop even over such a short time span.
This is just an exceptional job and I enjoyed it thoroughly
Keep up the good work,
Tears of the cold moon

I just found and bingeread this brilliant Fanfic. You are one of the best authors that i've had the pleasure of finding on this site. Thank you so much! I'd love to read another historical AU with our favourite profilers!
Rehabilitated Sith chapter 6 . 5/10/2016

lilyrose225 chapter 18 . 7/11/2014
So earlier, around chapter 15 I had an inkling of what I wanted to say when I finished the fic, and I've just sat here for five minutes looking at blank space. What do you say after a story that brought a group of people together-who you happen to know very well, although in this case they don't know each other-under duress and watch them struggle to learn from each other and the situation and finally, finally grow close? What can you comment in a pithy manner when you watch them triumph and become their once-again family, when you know that, in a few moments of their time, they'll be shaken by loss again?

I watch CM because of the relationships in the main cast. I loved the beginning for its newness and coltishly finding its feet, but those seasons with Prentiss and Rossi were my favorites. They've hit their stride in that time period; there have been awful times, and amazing times, and everything in between.
What I read here was the cast at their finest, as if they were just finding their feet, as if one had cut out the first seasons and pressed those golden years into one case. You did brilliantly, plopping the profilers right into a different era and presenting them with challenges and situations that fit with the time period. I ache for these people, because they're just as real as the best-written characters I've ever read, and could walk right out of the page and greet me.

...Anyway. I don't know what more there is to say. Thank you for a brilliant read-I almost passed this one over, but I'm glad I didn't.
diesespiegelreflectiert chapter 1 . 3/10/2014
I just finished reading this story, and I enjoyed it very very much. It ticks all the boxes - it's well researched, well written on the technical level, well paced, and despite the very different setting, the characters were all clearly recognisable as themselves. Well done.
EllieMurasaki chapter 18 . 3/4/2014
This is beautiful.
APlagueOnBothYourHouses chapter 18 . 8/18/2013
I love this story. The way you molded the characters into a completely different time period and yet still maintained the heart of what makes them them is just awesome. Of course, since I'm a sucker for happy endings, I was sad when I found out Reid had cancer, but I see how it makes sense and stuff.
Basically what I wanted to say is that you rock and this story rocks and my only regret is that it could have had a happier ending. But I liked the sadness of it, too, because that's life. I dunno, I just really liked it.
tinyroger chapter 18 . 6/25/2013
What a lovely story! I love what you've turned the characters into, but damn the Reid-thing makes me sad...
Kelsey Black chapter 18 . 3/25/2013
This was an absolutely fantastic story - the entire thing flowed beautifully, and believably, and I didn't want it to end! Really, really wonderful. You captured the characters, but also very much fit them into the 1940s. Everything about this really felt real. It was sad and sweet and brilliant.
