This does ignore one important thing. Death is the death of people on THE DISCWORLD.

This... This this this...

Ugh, words fail me. This is awesome. Amazing. Stupendous. In character all-around, and a crossover that (when I saw the category) I never would have thought would work. And as a girl who happens to love both Hanna and the Discworld books, I commend you.

Seriously, this is... awesome. :D
darkbangle chapter 1 . 11/27/2010
lol This is great. I've always loved Death. And how Hanna gave him the slip like that - awesome! Poor Death though. _ Guy has it tough. At least Hanna will never be as frustrating for him as Rincewind.
Sir Gawain of Camelot chapter 1 . 9/28/2010
THIS! Just.. this! You have made my day, although technically that's not hard because the day started twelve minutes ago, so you made my fucking /week/ with this gem!

xD I can picture Death getting very pissed... or, well, whatever the glandless equivalent thereof is, at Hanna for how often Hanna outright cheats him. It does so bother Death when people don't die on schedule, and now Mr. Achenleck will be holding off for an indefinite amount of time!

And just when I was thinking it could get any cooler, it turns out that Death had come for Hanna! And Hanna pulled one of the most awesome moves in the book there, literally grappling with Death and winning! Gah.

Not only was it awesome as hell, the whole thing was a beautiful metaphor. Hanna cheats Death, and he defies Death. The shape he's in, he could well drop dead at any minute. And he still marches forward with a smile on his face. That kind of confidence and strength makes me very glad that Enkidu is there now to take care of him, if that makes any sense.

This was wonderful. Awesome premise, awesomely executed, and beautifully in-character on all sides. Definitely going into my favourites.
