Reviews for Where the Teddybears Have Their Picnic
katbybee chapter 8 . 1/7
I'm enjoying this story, and you are very talented. I have one main takeaway from this chapter. Abby is a despicable person. Everything is always all about her and how it will affect her. You nailed her perfectly.

Woooooo what a rollercoaster! The kind that I want to go on again straight away... if it weren't nearing midnight already ;)

You are a very good writer and this is an awesome story. The 'guest' Ziva hater should have been ignored. She trolls just to criticize and complain when the author even introduces Ziva in a story. I have noticed the same sentence structure and wording on a lot of other fics that she has targeted.

So, Ziva was MY favorite character with Tony a close second. Having said that, I think Ziva came across in this story as not nearly concerned about Tony as I think she would have been. I know you wrote stories more favorable to Tony and Ziva so off to read them. No more 'Tony torture' stories for me for a while. Thank you.

A really interesting case fic here, especially the twists and turns with the brothers. I really liked the backstory you created for Tony; it made a lot of sense as a basis for the disassociative personality disorder we saw here...and also for Tony's seeming propensity to don masks.

You handled a lot of difficult stuff here, and in a way that avoided making it feel sensationalized; rather it moved the story along to the conclusion for which I was hoping: Tony healthy enough to return to work. I also loved the way you had the team rally around Tony; the emotional scenes were both heart-wrenching...and heart-warming.

While I hated seeing Tony (and the team) hirting, I really enjoyed this sotry...

very good.

Your characterization and ability to weave a story is stunning and I admire it. My only problem is how you are portraying mental illness- esp. something as demonized as psychosis. While people w/ psychosis can be as violent as people without psychosis, violence is not connected with it. People w/ psychosis are just as likely to be a victim of violence. So far, you aren't really going either way (demonizing people like me/ giving a solid representation) and I really hope that you don't go much farther with the psychosis violent & evil idea. I am enjoying this fic otherwise. Someone recommended this fic to me since it deals with DID and psychosis (I have DDNOS, so well-written and realistic DID/DDNOS fics are *happy face*). I'm curious for what originally caused Tony's DID, since it can only form in childhood and if he actually knew about it before his little was forced to front and if there are others.

Thank you for the story!

I just read this story again, and I reaffirmed how powerful it is. Ever since I read it last year, the Teddy Bears song no longer makes me think of a little kid's song, but this story. And I used to LIKE that song );

Looking forward to more of your stories!

Hi there

I absolutely adore your story. However, I feel I must point out something to you.
You rather like to use the work smirk, this is often a word used in the wrong context. Essentially, it translates to evil grin. If that is what you mean to say with your use of it, then please ignore this. But, if it isn't, then you may wish to keep it in mind for future stories.
I fell into the same trap when I submitted my first novel for publication. A very kind editor pointed it out to me.

Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us.

No apology needed. Your instincts look good to me. I think you ended at a very good place. Tony had made his decision and he was just waiting to die.

All-round excellent don't apologize for your writing. You are good at this. The timing has been excellent. It felt very smooth, even through the difficult parts. i liked the way way you showed the impact on the entire team and your Tony is so very sweet and brave.
Guest chapter 43 . 7/29/2015
This story is the best (sickest) amazing (disgusting) story i've read for a really long time. You send Tony to hell and back, break him and put him back together and i really, really, really love you for it.
It's an amazing story!

Oh My! I love this fic. It's the first story I read after a friend of mine introduced me to ff several years ago. Thank you for a story that is filled with excitement, suspense, hurt, need I go on? Excellently written and very enjoyable.
