This is a really good story where the average adult character has an IQ of 80. The kids have more sense and they’re hormonal teenagers.

I very much despise Dumbledore.

Don’t do anything to give Umbridge leverage? She doesn’t need leverage. She manufactures crime. The adults give the crappiest advice.

So Dumbledore delays again. I despise the character of Dumbeldore, both in AU and canon.

The worst advice to give to someone who is being targeted by those who torture kids- keep your head down. Why? Do they really think they’ll give up their sick twisted objectives if the victim keeps their head down? Or are the adults giving the advice trying to cover up their own inadequacies and their failure to do anything to protect the victim and deal with the oppressor?

I can’t believe Daphne and Harry will let Draco and Co get away with this. Massive retaliatory pain needs to be delivered in spades, otherwise they’ll get more of the same.

I don’t get Harry’s argument. If Seamus’ mother trusts the Prophet she’s a mindless drone but if she mindlessly follows Dumbeldore she isn’t? Either way, unless Harry provides details, he’s expecting people to be drones, the only question is what side they mindlessly follow.

I know that I'm writing this well after the publication of sequels, but I must say that the final author's note takes the sting out of the ending. Seems a shame, that. Oh well. Good plot and good writing, spelling errors aside. Onto the next book
