Wow - that was sharp and hurty, but loving and soft too. Actually put a lump in my throat more than once. Excellent work with this. I love how vividly you showed both of them suffering over this in their own way, but still meeting in the middle. Dean with his overwhelming need to keep Sam safe and knowing that his deal means there will be nobody there to watch Sam's back. His greatest success and his ultimate failure all in one. Really, just a beautiful piece here.

I really like this short! It's a great compilation of the emotions the brothers are feeling. Careful there are quiet a few grammar errors. Maybe reread it and just fix a few small things... that's said only to help I hope it doesn't come out as me sounding bitchy. They just distract from the greatness of the story and the flow.
