I really dislike this popular fanon trope of James asking Lily out 500 times. So, I like your idea more. Him complimenting her and dropping hints and trying to flirt with her but only managing to make a fool of himself.
I also love how your James is still flawrd, even though he grew up a bit and matured and all. He's still stubborn. He's still cheeky.
And awww, they're both nervous and they blush. I just love it.

So, I've read this story a long time ago an forgot to review. And, then I couldn't find it anywhere and I was so annoyed because I really liked it. (I would google things like "Lily pushes James in the suit of armour" and stuffs like that but nothing!) I almost gave up on ever finding the story, but then I accidentally stumbled upon one of your stories and... I was so happy! :)
Anyway, I forgot my old account mail, username, password...all of it, so I had to make a new one and now I'm reviewing all my favourite stories... God, look at me babbling and I still haven't said anything... Sorry...
I like how you write Lily and James. You don't exaggerate . Lily's not a bitch who screams at James and hex him all the time. And James is not some Greek god, gorgeous, tanned, muscular stud that leaves all of the female population of Hogwarts breathless. They're so ordinary, and normal, and cute... This whole ignoring game is so typical when you're a teenager. I also love how they talked about everything before they kissed. Not that I mind them kissing before they talk, lol (I LOVE to see them kissing, doesn't matter how or when or where), but I think this was really a good start for their future relationship (that will save the wizarding world!): clear all the misunderstandings first.
Ok, I think it's about time I stop spamming your review box. Sorry, I got carried away... Quality J/L stories do that to me... :)

I think this might actually have been the fic that (at least partially) inspired Solidarity. I remember there was a fic (it was either this one or one very similar to it) that made me think, "I want to write one of these".

I love it. It's fully as hell. And James is a treat in it, too; kind of teasing and infuriating, but still nice enough not to get into trouble for it. There was also a line that really set me off. One of Sirius's lines. The spiel about the 'scenery'.

And lol. That scene with the armour. XD

It's after 4am. Everything is funnier. Lol.

But no, seriously, I remember giggling like a maniac the first time I read it, too. This is one of those fics that I'll end up going back and reading again and again.

Small issue; you referred to James as a 'she' once. "Even if he didn't fancy her, it was clear that she enjoyed her company as a friend. Being mates would be better than nothing, she supposed." I'm thinking it was meant to be 'he enjoyed'.

Anyway, this is a good one, definitely a favourite. I wish I had an excuse for not reviewing earlier, but all I can come up with is that I read it in the middle of a reading spree and I was practically eating the stories up at that point and reviewed very few of them.

Oh, I love the fact that James just knew, bloody brilliant that boy.
