this was beautiful; such an original idea with Lockhart oblivitating memories and to him it probably isn't even bad just a spot of fun. Matilda's breakdown has a melancholy edge to it. With Snape's arrival and already drawing comparisons. I do wonder why Maylark and Mungo's seem to hate him so much

Dear god I love this! I wish you'd continue it. My first big question would be whether or not Matilda will manage to break the Memory Charm somehow or if she and Honey will have to figure out their past bits and pieces at a time. I would also be curious if any further crossovers might occur (like after Gilderoy leaves, the Order looking them up after Gilderoy's brainmelt).

Also, how long till someone contacts her family about her magic? I suspect she's more advanced than a normal girl her age... Should be setting off magic detector alarms all over the place.
