That also shows in the grizzled hunter going after Dean alone, without help. Possibly not wanting anyone to finish him off other than himself.

And in the end, it was probably a mercy for both of them.

Huh, this is a really dark parallel universe you created. But I like dark - and with the early "black and white" Dean - it's possible. And scary. And sad. And perhaps I'd even loved it more if he'd killed Bobby and taken the Colt - what do you think? But you're right, it hurts much more to have Bobby do it...

Interesting hun. I always feel Dean has a great capacity for violence and his world drives him toward it but this is an interesting observation of him tipped over the edge.

It is poetic that he calls down Bobby to hunt him, the one person who has consistently loved him.

you know what? This actually brought tears into my it was all dark and horrible and cruel and yet so thrilling and fascinating.

There was always such a dark side of Dean, dangerous and angry and...early-season2-Dean-ish (if you get what I mean by this). Especially in the earlier seasons. Now he's just tired and weary and broken, but man, this boy can flip!

You're one of the BESTEST (Heh.) writer outthere, let me tell you that. You totally captured me with this little drabble story and I saw everything before my eyes, could feel Dean bringing death with him. And somehow you always make it seem my, it fits so well.
