I loved the interactions between Alex and Pierre! I’m glad that Alex finally met someone who was a snarky, sarcastic asshole like himself.

I don’t know if this story was written before or after Russian Roulette, but I believe that the reason Yassen didn’t ever try to directly kill Alex was not because of Yassen’s supposed “promise” (that was never canonically made) to John Rider.

It was because Yassen’s life has been painfully similar to Alex’s. And while Yassen didn’t pity him, he gave Alex the chance to prove himself worthy to live his life, as Yassen had when he was a child.

Yassen’s a pretty fvcked up character to dissect, but in the end, the Yassen we know is probably not the Yassen John Rider knew, and probably doesn’t give a fvck about some promise that wasn’t made, or some debt he owed to a man he barely knew.

In response to Alex's comment about drugs and hangovers, they do that because they are depressants.

I know what you mean, it was so weird learning English after speaking Italian for the majority of my childhood.

I noticed in the last chapter Alex says "that's my uncle, Ian" or something along those lines. But in this chapter, when he asks Yedit if she knows his name, she thinks it's his father. Continuity error?

999 or 112 are the emergency numbers in the UK (112 is for mobiles)
You must be 17 to drive
We do not have baseball so Ian would not have taken Alex to a baseball game
It is jam not jelly and we do not have PJ and J sandwiches!

Other than that this is an amazing story, which I am proving by reviewing in the middle on a fanfic as I normally only review the last part of a series!

This is SOOOO great! Ok, the last chapter was epic, the fight with Kony (what a bastard!) was... bloody, and we saw another side of Alex.
In my opinion, Alex has grown up a lot in this fic. And I have to say that getting him on the run but in the end getting him to go to Uganda all the same was brilliant and much more interesting than going for MI6 in the first place. Let alone that he'd have probably died there if he didn't have the advantage of the intel.
