I’m so sorry it took me so long to get caught up, but re-reading this was as wonderful as it always is! You just meld the two worlds so well, and Kagome is just the right mix of powerful and influential without her being /too/ much so. Re-re-reading and just wanted to say how much I enjoy this fic!

It took me some time to get back to reading this story, but thank you so much for continuing the story. I love the explanations you have between Kagome's behavior and tying it with InuYasha - they're two very compatible stories and they're believable! I am also happy to see Kagome slowly falling for someone who would treat her right and support her, rather than one who constantly belittles her. I always hoped that she'd have someone who understood and treated her as she should.

The foreshadowing to Yuuko not always being at the shop ... ouch! Still hurts my heart to know that she'll be gone, but it is a very important plot point that changed Watanuki. I know that when the manga reached the spider arc I was very impressed to see him learning, though also a little sad that his innocence was going away. I'm very interested on seeing your take on it, especially with all the research that you do to try and understand the cultural references! Thank you.

I REALLY love this story! You're matching the themes up very well, and everything feels remarkably in-character. The creepy atmosphere is A. I really appreciate the idea of Sango reincarnating into Souta and continuing her sibling relationship with Kagome in the next life, as well, it's very sweet, and imagining Souta hefting hiraikotsu through Tokyo makes me laugh. I look forward to whatever you write next, and hope that time and circumstances will allow it to happen soon!

I'll admit, while reading the manga it took me a while to catch on to the Himawari thing you for the update!

Well...Kagome has never hidden how Himawari's aura has unsettled her, but I can't help but wonder about how she will react when the truth of her comes out... I really hope that doesn't sound mean if me since I don't hate Himawari's character; more to the effect, I actually feel quite sorry for her...her very unnatural aura is one matter I wish either the manga or anime had gone into a bit further, like how and why her?

But that may as well be left to fans to consider and imagine for themselves.

The chapter was very well done, though I know the end draws near. Honestly, I'm surprised Yuuko divulged to Kagome what little she did. Cautious and Aware as she is, I didn't see that coming. Truth be told...the whole deal with Fei Wong Reed's greed, Clow's mistake, and Watanuki's situation really irked me...in many a way. Kagome, though...she can be intuitive when she wants to be...will she figure out what is going on or will she end up actually in the most of it all, finding out what's happened after the fact?

I just realized that special friend might be Sakura?

And with this chapter I remember how xxxHolic ends in the manga. Oh boy I wonder how much will change now...
