I'm guessing at the end it was Katherine who showed up. Your really good at keeping up the suspense. I really love how Damon is able to differentiate Katherine and Elena and tell who is who almost immediately. Interesting seeing Damon work with Stefan and Bonnie. Glad Jeremy is going to be okay. I'm thinking like the show the Lockwoods are going to be werewolves.

Your characterization of Damon is so spot on. Especially the snark and Sarcasm. Very Damon like. It seems he's starting to care for others but just doesn't want to show it. I especially love that Elena is showing concern for Damon and decided to check in with him too. Looking forward to what comes next.

It seems in this story Damon is the best at putting 2 and 2 together and I love it! Glad Jeremy is going to be okay and that Damon didn't try and turn him into a vampire like in the show. I'm going to guess Mason is a werewolf in this story and that's why he was effected by the device.

Love how stock Damon was to respond and figure out what's going on. I know Damon told Elena about Jeremy overdosing, but it's he going to tell Elena The reason why, about him trying to become a vampire. I could see it creating a rift between them if he tries to keep it from Elena and she finds out. Loving the pace of this story.

P.s. sorry about taking so long to read and review this chapter. I was taking a 2-3 week break from fanfic, but I'm back now.

I honestly love this! I think the pacing flows very well. I love your writing style. I love the way Damon tried to keep Elena calm down after she was in complete shock. I gave a feeling things are about to get tense.

I love that Damon put two and two together so quickly. If only Damon has caught on quicker in Canon, could it have avoided some of the events between Damon and Elena early on in the season. I look forward to seeing what direction this story takes. I look forward to reading and reviewing each chapter.

Stefan's about as far from perfect as you can get he's an emotionally abusive jerk who also happens to be manipulative and refuses to admit his faults. Damon with his faults is much closer to being "perfect" than Stefan.

I don't know if you're watching the last season but if they kill Elena or Damon it will be 100% Stefan's fault. Personally if they kill one I hope they kill the other because neither Elena nor Damon is stable without the other.

Wait, there are people out there that like Stefan? How is that possible?

Thank God not another all human story. You deserve lots of cred for that reason alone. And always nice to go back to that ancient, innocent time before the Originals appeared and took so much screen time away from our lead characters (although admittedly the Originals were more interesting back then).

Wow, what an absolutely brilliant fic. Loved all the suspense, the angst and especially the romance, of course. Very well written and everyone in character. Felt like I could see it in the show. I so need to fav this.
