Nice! very realistic, and very true to Syao.i think a lot of us have a tendency to just forget about him. poor thing. really good story. you included just enough details, and the whole laundry blowing thing reminded me quite randomly of the scene in V for Vendetta...anyway. well done! write something longer, i'm sure it'll be brilliant!
