Of course I am reviewing a few years too late, but I just can't contain the love I have for this story! I read this story earlier in my years-when I was in high school- and I recently reread this masterpiece during quarantine.

Laura's character is one that is incredibly realistic and one that I feel I can relate to. She knows that she is 'unmatchable' to Sirius and that her chance with him is pretty much zero. But, just as much as she knows this, she knows that it's okay to have a little fancy and admire from afar. She isn't obsessed with him-which is incredibly nice to read. I saw a comment that this story took too long and had too much detail-a comment that I disagree with extremely. You have written down the entire layout of how the two are 'connected' and created a familiarity between the two that only grew stronger throughout the years. The fact that you focused so much on the growth of Laura and what she was like when she was younger is why I love this story-because you created an actual character.

Laura is, and always will be, insecure because of how she was treated at Hogwarts and her experience of having Bea as a sister. Bea, herself, is an admirable character and she is also realistic. Every person has their own flaws and every person works in their own way. However, I don't think Laura directly let her sister impact her; rather, it was subconscious based on what she experienced as she went through Hogwarts.

Don't even get me started on how wonderful her and Sirius are together. Laura is the calm to his crazy, the ration to his irrational-she is literally what makes him stop and think before he acts because she thinks about the consequences while he only thinks about the immediate moment after.

Thank you for writing this and I will forever be glad that I can revisit this as many times as I wish.

read the authors note and became disappointed really if its gonna be cannon why make a story at all

This is quite possibly the best boring book I’ve read. Really, it’s unnecessarily long.

After I got my hopes up, she was gone and so quickly at that.
Can you please do an extra chapter with Sirius showing Harry a picture of her or even telling Harry a bit about her. It'll help to really close my feelings after getting to know her to see that her memory still lives on in Sirius

sweet jesus, this is why I don't usually read rom stories where the girl is hormonal hysterical teenager, her behaviour is pathetic. It shows her inferiority complex, which I get, but she is acting like a kid with a temper tantrum, not listening to anyone and happy to wallow in angst. Her accepting the other guy is just icing on it all. It was a nice read till now, but not anymore, you reduced her character to this and I simply can't stomach this hillarious behaviour. Shame, I liked the story. Also you just wrote a spoiler in an author's note, which I'm stunned why would any author do that. That sealed it it's not worth reading till the end

I know this story is old but HOT DAMN. It made me laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time. This was the first Sirius fic I've read other than little one and two shots and I think I'm hooked!

oh man... I had a feeling youd kill her off... I'd have loved a little bit where when Sirius died and they'd get reunited... and everyone else! but this is a perfect story... thank you so much for writing this:)

This story was just... awesome. Everything. Incredible! From the beginning everything was so interesting and good and realistic... There was not a chapter where I thoughtthat's not very interestingorthe author could have done betteretc. The slow-burn was just perfectand you did something that I find rare in these kind of fiction, that is that the story CONTINUED interesting even when the main couple got together! *0* UGH! I could kiss you now.

Anyways. This story made me feel happy, frustrated, cry, made me FANGIRL when they got together (that's a rare one lol)!

Everything was just too goodthe friendships so good that when some tragic things happened I was just feeling, u know, like that happened with a close friend of mine... \3.

p. was the first time I read a Sirius Black x Original Character and I made a good choice w/o doubtor not, thought, 'cause now any SBxOC that I read I will want to be as good as this and, if it's not, I will be frustrated :c

I usually reread all the stories in my favorites so when I came across this one I was like, why haven’t I read this again yet? But then I got to the end I remembered it was because it made me cry. Truly a beautiful story and 10/10 would read again through my tears.

One of the best fanfictions I have ever read. It's nothing short of brilliant.
