Not sure how I missed this one. I have read all your Aftershocks, but not this one... loved it!

Ah! Unloved this. I think it was very in character for sam. I don't like the fics where they're super out of character and have wild monkey sex in this episode. Sam would never do that.

That was really, really great. I just watched this episode and wished there was some hint of this occurrence.

2010 is episode that could always make me smile and cry you know? The whole - we're a team and we're not a team and we're friends but we screwed up and so... and the end in 2010, the last step and everything.

You know, Jack let her go, he let her find the life she had wanted, with a husband and kids... and it didn't work out. Then we know what happened in 2001... and then there is Pete. And again, even while not knowing what had happened in the ... past/future (hehe) he let her go and wanted nothing but for her to be happy. And again she had realized things and saw things and... got back to him.

This is pretty much my favourite story ever.

I really enjoyed this story. That episode was so intriguing to me anyway so I love to read the different slants and this one really works for me. You are one of my favorite writers! thanks for sharing.

You're right. We needed that story...to fill in the blanks. Good use of indulgence!

This is a wonderful story. It slots in seamlessly with the episode and I only wish we had seen something like this.

Great story Rachel! I really enjoyed it. As many 2010 fics out there as there are, I thought you did a great job keeping it fresh, interesting, and true to our favorite characters. :)

Masterful job, as always. Really enjoyed the angst. Their past encounter and separation made it even more stirring. Too bad they weren't together once more, but it's understandable. Looking forward to more S&J from you.

I especially liked: 'You might wear his ring but you'll make your own decisions. I know that.' Jack had always known that whoever's ring she wore, Carter didn't belong to anyone but Carter.

It explains a lot about Jack's attitude with the whole Pete thing and how he sees Carter. Very well written.

This bit of indulgence surely stands alone very well amongst your myriad of tags. You struck a good balance between Sam's guilt and sadness, as well as Jack's being right and being there.

Few people rock it like you do.
