Wow! Incredible story! I would never have thought to incorporate vampires with Bones. (I guess the science sort of cut that path for me :P) But this seriously good writing.

The Science-y description from Brennan's view throughout the story is very in character. That somehow, even through passion, she couldn't stamp out the scientist in her, which makes sense, since she *is* a scientist, it's a part of her.

Also, the cold and deadness of Booth at the beginning of the fic is very pressing, it felt real, I felt that in certain part I could almost feel what Booth was feeling.

Another thing which I really liked was the attention to detail. The sentence segments really help me feel Brennan's emotions and inner turmoil and parts like "heels clanking on the pavement" really helped with the imagery.

Very well written- and very shocking for me, since I've never read any books or seen any movies or TV shows dealing with vampires. I DEFINITELY didn't see it coming! I gather from the other comments that when a vampire in your fandom of choice sucks someone's blood, he/she can choose whether to kill the person or turn them into another vampire? And based on "Brenna's" POV, your vampires have blood?

Why am I always right?

I don't even know where to start for this. My mind is seriously flying in 500 THOUSAND different directions right now. I want to be more eloquent, but don't know exactly what to say. So hopefully by pulling out the parts that really stuck out to me I can get some of it across. 3 So let me begin- I'll try not to drag this out for too long. My reviews are weird. More of a play-by-play.

First of all, sorry it took me longer to read/review this than I had planned. I literally passed out on the train and I think the crazy on the cell phone next to me might've had a conniption had she seen anything I had saved for the trip, haha.

Essentially- I loved this. While avoiding a "crossover" story, you brought an amazing supernatural side to the Bones fandom.

I knew that I was in for an interesting ride when you wrote that Booth's reason for living "had left a long time ago," and by emphasizing that she "was" fascinating and beautiful. Instant dread. I knew that I should be expecting heartfail, haha, but I'm so glad I read anyways.

From the very beginning, I was in love with Booth (as ever) and hurting for his grief. He heard her voice in his head (contraction and flexion...nice), he's drinking even more. When Angela burst into the Royal Diner, and his immediate thought went to Hodgins because why would anything ever happen to her? She couldn't have been gone. And then Hodgins confirmed it and his world ended. He "never was quite able to take another breath, ever again."

GAH! I'm not only involved in the story, I'm reeling with the depth of emotions being projected right off of the PAGE!

And then suddenly, she's THERE in Italy!I loved how even while not realizing who Booth actually was as a consequence of her change, she could still tell that he wasn't happy. "He did not enjoy living."

And vampire Bones would totally be a predator. I loved this paragraph: "She wanted to catch him. To lean in and inhale his anger, taste its smoky, coppery rust. Mostly, she wanted to scrape her bottom teeth up the angry set of his jaw, to feel the prickle of his stubble scratch her soft lips." (- me too. )

My favorite part, other than the FANTASTIC B&B action going on, was how "Brenna" (nice) can't initially remember him, as the memories of her human life have become faded, but slowly things begin to fall into place. "...she knew that they were already somehow connected."

Science-y descriptions. "Booth" reminiscent as a term of endearment. Saints. Her sudden realization when he slips and calls her "Bones." OMG.

And finally, after Brennan has finally reconnected with her past and little glimpses of her former humanity (and love) she has to battle her instincts! Her struggle was really interesting to read. "It’s Booth, she told it. Blood, it insisted." All the way to the end. Wow.

I still can't believe she drained booth. I know the definition of the title, but then you mentioned how Brennan's death included exsanguination and I was definitely surprised when it came down to Booth as well!

This was really cool to read-an interesting take on the Bones/Booth dynamic. Thank you!

creative plot. well written. lots of unanswered questions which can be frustrating for readers. I've never encountered a venomous vampire without clear memories of their past which is an intriguing concept

consider a sequel as to what has happened to Booth. Is he a vampire or dead? If a vampire does he remember Bones? Does he want to kill her or love her? Do they stay in Italy? What about Parker etc?

So did she turn him so they could be together for eternity? Or did she just let him die so he could go to heaven and not have to live how she lives?
