I don't think that in the beginning he realized which of the girls he wanted. To him they both looked the same & were the same until he got to know Elena. And same went for Stefan, which is why he came to Mystic Falls in the first place. Good job on the fic though. Good portrayal of everything! :)

I absolutely loved this story. I loved the contemplation and the inner thoughts of Damon throughout that process from the latest episode. I loved how Damon envies his brother for having Elena, whom, Damon has been very much growing fond of lately. But more so, that Damon was pained that Elena betrayed him by lying to him. He really felt that she could believe in him just once and Elena herself, the look on her face in that scene, she felt bad, like I do believe she sees a good to Damon, and he needs her to find that good again. I love how Damon is growing more attached to Elena the more he gets to her know her and not mistaken her for Katherine, but just Elena. It was a good revelation that is due to build up to something great in the series. Good job. I love all the details.
