Great story!

This was a great piece of crossover fiction. It's hard to pull off first person perspective while still keeping a protagonist so ruthlessly in-character. You handle the shift between internal thought and external action very well. You also capture Dexter's wry tone exceptionally, while still indicating his level of calculation and analysis of the situation.

Your look at Rorschach through Dexter's perspective necessarily makes your interpretation of his thoughts more subtle. This also works well. This helps to keep the tone of the piece a bit lighter (comparatively, given the context) and prevents it from being weighed down with too much angst.

I'd like to offer something constructive, but your spelling and grammar are impeccable, your writing flows well and the overall style is exactly right for this story. Maybe the very short sentences at the end of your first paragraph are a touch over-dramatic? But really, I have no complaints regarding this piece of work. It was an excellent read.

Hadn't seen any of Dexter yet, but I think this is an interesting meeting just the same.

haha. I love the parting words. I think that's fanstastic. I love both Rorschach and Dexter and was pleasently surprised to find this on here. I'm not too bothered by the blasphemey. Time-travel would be rather sticky and tricky and would require a back story and more loose ends and craziness. Though I imagine time travel would have something to do with Jon.

Anyways, I'm rambling. I liked this story alot. The end.

Very well done. Great writing. Solid dialogue. Excellent characterization on both protagonists. The brawl played out well (this is the TV DEXTER, the book DEXTER wouldn't have lasted that long) and the mutual understanding between these two sympathetic socio(psycho)paths was well done.

I've been trying to remember if I reviewed this on lj or not, I don't think I did. So I just wanted to mention how awesome this is and how much I would want to see more of it.
