Interesting. Your portrayal of 'Willy' Shakespeare sounds quite quirky and likeable. I like the skipping stones and the gorgeous description of Tania.

But at which point in the book does this happen? Is it when they're in Faerie? At that point, I don't think Edric has any doubts anymore about where his loyalties are, it's only getting Tania to listen that's the problem.

And was Shakespeare blonde? From the one woodcut portrait that survives, it looks like he had dark hair.
