this is absolutely one of my favourite Alex Rider ff - I am so glad I found it again after over 5 years! It is so rare to find good finished stories in this fandom. I bloody well love everything about your fic and I really like Mrs Mason for some reason. Thank you for sharing!

This has been just a wonderful read. Really high quality writing. I found the initial chapters a little confusing a do follow with so many flashbacks and POV swaps, but you did say it was three years worth of writing, and I can see how your writing sophistocated across that time. The characterization and relationship development was especially well done. Ben’s character was excellent. It is interesting seeing how different writers develops the characters of K-Unit when we don’t really have much by way of character development in the books. More with Ben, of course, and I liked how you worked out distinct characters that were multidimensional and complex. I really enjoyed it. Thanks!

No matter how many times I read this, the ending never fails to warm my heart :) Thank you for creating such a beautiful, emotional story. This won’t be the last time I read this.

ben really doesn't know how to deal with trauma, calling Alex a lier is really not a good thing. all it does is make him feel guilty on top of everything else. honestly what is he supposed to say when asked if he's ok? that he's in pain? that's pretty obvious, he's on pain pills. that his arm is broken? his arm is in a sling of course it's broken. and there is no way Ben should expect Alex to come right out and spill about his trauma, even if he's friends and his guardian, it's unrealistic. saying you're fine when you're obviously hurt or sick is basically saying nothing has gotten worse.
and the eating thing. when a person is starved their stomach shrinks and they lose weight. a malnourished person is not supposed to eat larger meals, they are supposed to small amounts of bland food often throughout the day to get their stomach used to food again. Ben pushing food onto him and Wolf getting man when Alex can't eat a lot gets me annoyed. they should be happy he's eating at all. some people can't eat when starved and have to be pushed to eat small amounts of food.
all in all wolf and Ben didn't really handle a lot of Alex's problems the right way and got upset with him for it, yes sometimes you have to push trauma victims in order to help them but they weren't doing it right with Alex, and in real life circumstances Alex would of pushed them away and become even more depressed and probably blame himself for it. I really feel bad for the kid.

I really enjoyed the ending of this chapter in particular. The whole thing was great, but that last part had some weight to it and was really... reflective? I don't really know how I should explain that, but you know what I mean. You wrote it, after all.
