This was such a great chapter! This, plus watching Buu Saga again with the DB Kai version reminded me of just how much I had adored Goten. Both he and Trunks were such fabulous character additions to the series and I especially love when they are together, or Goten is hanging out with Gohan. He's so lively, and such a thoughtful little sweetheart.
When that dear boy gets in a relationship of his own, between inheriting his father's joyful, good nature, and learning from his mother to fill in his father's social gaps, whoever that is will have found themselves with the best boy they could ever imagine. .

Oh I loved this! Smart idea, Gohan! Give him something else to focus on and you know he'll be wrapped up in.
I know it wasn't actual canon, but that little bit of filler from the original run of DB added a little extra if humorous, depth to Goku's character. Can take getting slugged, and run through by an energy blast, but something so tiny makes him so terrified.

I read a few chapters pretty long ago and just now read all the rest of it. This is good! They're all very sweet and I love the casual tone you write with. It flows very naturally and is nice to read. I think having each chapter a separate event is a good idea because you can always just add on and the readers don't need to remember what happened last. And best, no waiting for cliffhangers!
