Let me start by saying that I have been overdosing on "Dasey" fan-fiction for the last 4 days, committing hours upon hours reading in search for a story to add to my "re-read" vault for the next ten years...This story was absolutely fabulous. I am so happy to have found this gem. Thank you so much for completing it. It always sucks to read an amazing story with no ending. Great work!

Is it just me or the story used to be in 3rd person POV?

Still, I adore the progression of the story and how Derek and Casey grew up through it.

I JUST SHOTGUNNED THAT FIC LIKE A BACKWOODS WEDDING.

I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SLEEPING. I HAVE TO WORK A TEN HOUR OVERNIGHT SHIFT IN SIX HOURS. AND I DON'T EVEN CARE BECAUSE THAT WAS GLORIOUS.

I SERIOUSLY HAVE NO FUCKING WORDS.
AND I CAN'T STOP SHOUTING.

Like. Dude. NO. THIS HURT ME. BADLY. BUT IT ALSO HEALED ALL THE BROKEN PIECES OF MY SOUUUUUUL. JESUS TAPDANCING CHRIST WOMAN.

Okay. So. I legitimately fucking teared up when they parted in England. (Also, you're British. You have to be. YOU KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT THE CULTURE FOR FUCK'S SAKE YOU KNEW THE COLOR OF THE SAINSBURY'S BAGS.)

And. This fic was beautiful. Not a misstep afoot. NOT A ONE.

Like, I'm trying to find a way to express every bit of awesome this fic had, but I just can't.

Fucking Coach Andrews. That man, forever. AND TOM! He was like the frat boy Greco-Roman chorus I never knew I needed. He was brilliant. And he hooked up with Rosie! Awwwww!

So, Willow and James took on this kind of weird role as a pair of mischievous puppies, sticking their noses where they didn't belong and they were so great together.

And Lucy was a fucking superhero.

And for some reason, even though they each got probably two sentences worth of fic-time, Sam and Ralph tugged on my heartstrings. Because Ralphie thought they were dating already and didn't even care! And Sammy's all like, "Dude, when are you just gonna GO for it?"

And George and Nora being so fucking great! D'awwww!

Also, that scene where Casey "outed" them at the wedding? I literally did a full barrel roll in joy and squealed like a squeaky toy getting serial killed. IT WAS SO OMFG PERFECT AND JUST AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

And Casey talking to her dad? And her dad posthumously collecting a debt? So. Fucking. Perfect.

And Lizzie gave her away! I wanted to cry!

(Also there is no force on planet earth that is gonna convince me that Marti is not an unabashed Dasey shipper!)

The fact that you included the proposal as well makes it beyond perfect.

I have literally only ONE point of contention in over 100k words and it is this; being chased by a moose is in many ways more terrifying than being chased by a bear. Bears are skittish, and rarely attack.

Moose are fucking assholes and will attack given the slightest provocation. A fully grown bull moose can split the skull of a grizzly bear with one kick. They can disembowel mountain lions with their antlers. Moose are scary as shit. Take it from someone who lives in North America; you PRAY it's a bear in your campsite. The most you'll get is mauled. If it's a moose, you can kiss your ass goodbye.

But otherwise, this fic was perfection unto itself.

I reiterate; Coach Andrews MY FUCKING SPIRIT ANIMAL. THIS MAN IS ALL THE GREAT THINGS EVER.
