The bit about Peter angrily motioning him to stare ahead instead of trying to eavesdrop on his conversation in the police station made me laugh aloud. Totally a classic Peter moment!

First person is hard for me to write, and I think you did very well with that )

I've read this story and it's sequels many, many times, and am sorry to say I'm pretty sure I never left a review...it is very review worthy so here goes.

Neal's point of view on this is so damn cute! The sort of cute that makes you cringe and kinda want to strangle him, but cute nonetheless. I did feel a bit bad for him in the beginning, but he does know how to set himself up for trouble doesn't he? I also liked Peter's take charge attitude, I felt you kept him very in character. Part of me hated him sending Neal off to the corner without a hug, but it was a very realistic thing for Peter to do-which just made it all the sweeter when he did come over to offer comfort when Neal wasn't calming down as intended.

The contrast between Neal's thoughts and his words was very humorous, and I liked that the actual catalyst of his behavior was discovered and addressed, rather than him just being punished for his actions. Very well done, and thank you for posting.

I've read many of your other stories. I just started watching White Collar and I'm hooked.

I loved this story. I felt bad for Neal getting his feeling hurt but he knew better than to take Peter's car.

On to read another on if I have the time. You should write more this was fantastic!

I laughed all the way through it! I love the way you write from Neal's perspective, I can just hear that cocky attitude going through his head. Even thinking smart-ass remarks when he couldn't spit them out! Too funny!

Neal's internal dialogue during the stand in the corner was so funny! I was choking on lunch!

Okay, I really thought I had reviewed this...maybe I did on another site, but just in case I didn't, this was terrific! I actually felt a bit bad for Neal and the way Peter was treating him, and I really could see him getting upset - but stealing Peter's car! Wow! That's quite a tantrum. I thought it was great the way Peter marched him right into the house, course of action already determined. I thought Peter did a good job highlighting that the biggest issue was that Neal's actions could have landed him back in prison. I positively loved how Neal "thought" one response and offered up a completely different one. This one was great:

“Okay, I understand your side of it, and though I think your response was overboard and extreme, I accept your apology and will not report you to the police. But you should remember my generosity and work to adjust your behavior accordingly.” “Okay, I get it,” I sniffed.

I liked the camaraderie following the spanking too.

"...when suddenly Elizabeth turned around and wrapped her arms around me.

... and then Peter was beside me and put an arm around me and his other arm around his wife.

“Be careful next time, okay?” Elizabeth told me, and Peter squeezed my shoulder warmly.

..Peter kept his arm around my shoulder, like a guy might do with his best friend who he hadn’t seen in while, as he led me to my seat."
