Another good story from you! I love it. Not as much as Lockdown of course. That is still my favorite! I wondered if you have ever seen NCIS Los Angeles. My son got me into it. Didn't care much about the first season until they introduced the character of Deeks. Now I am hooked on him. He has such a great past that they can expand on, what with it being abusive and him having to shoot his dad at age 11 to protect himself. I have read the NCIS Los Angeles stories on this site and am not impressed. I am hoping that if you watch it, you might be interested in writing one about him.

Honestly, though. I could hug you. This is brilliant. It's amazing. It's a GIANT METAPHOR! I'm completely in love with it. Initially upon reading it, I copied this line: "Stubborn bit, bruising what was otherwise a perfect plank of pine. Curving and warping the wood."

I was going to say, "hey, that's a nice little note there," but then it kept going, and kept repeating, and you kept comparing Tony to the boat and the knots to his own pains. O.O It's so beautiful!

Absolutely fantastic little fic. Your characterizations are so spot on, it's really quite uncanny. These scenes I could easily see on the air, they flowed so easily into what we saw in that ep.
