On comment on writing: I don't think you're using 'lest' correctly in the sentence "I honestly have to resume my work lest I wouldn't be able to catch my flight." Lest means 'to avoid the risk of,' so don't need a negation afterward because you're identifying the risk. The sentence should be written as "lest I miss my flight." Also, I'm not sure even England would use 'lest' in spoken English. It sounds a little less stilted to say "I have to resume my work or I'll miss my flight."
