Very cute. I loved how Lucy was a great mix of Danny and Lindsay.

Yes, holding out on us is wrong. :) Such an amazing daddy/daughter moment to show Lucy how much Jamie is just winding her up to get her attention. I am surprised how Danny didn’t freak out but then I guess he is growing up. ;) New York, very cute! And the way Danny is subtly pushing baseball instead of basketball, nice! But the one thing that melts my heart is the pure love for his girls that he shows in telling Lucy a story on the NY/Montana history. With the little “country girl” and “skyline” references, it was a joy to read from start to finish. You even made me double over in laughter with the “She held her hands in the shape of a gun and pointed them at Danny. “NYPD! Put ‘em where I can see ‘em!” Wow, that girl is good. But she forgot that her father was sly, that you have to keep your eyes on the perp at all times. :D

But I’m guessing he got that message when Lucy kicked him in the gut. Heehee. Is it wrong to love that moment? I like the stubble Danny, I picture it as the season three Danny in The Lying Game. Lucy is the perfect mixture of both of them, Lindsay’s brains and Danny’s attitude. That was a nice save at the end with Lindsay jumping in between Danny and Lucy when she started to think Jamie wasn’t too bad. ;)

Favorite lines:

1/” He then blinked. It was like Lindsay had taken over his brain for a minute; she was the one always telling them to ‘use their words’.”

2/” Lucy giggled and nodded as she took a sip of her Hi-C punch. “Nothin’ beats the view, right daddy?”

“Exactly.” He smirked at how well he’d trained his daughter. “Well, when Mommy and I were younger, I used to call your Mommy ‘Montana’.”

3/” Boys are silly.” Lucy huffed as she laid her head on Danny’s chest as her daddy pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “Why can’t you just be... not silly, Daddy? Why is he being mean to me? He only does it to me. Does he hate me or somethin’?”

4/” How do you know that she kisses me?” he teased as his fingers tickled the little girl’s belly.

“I live in the same state! Mommy is always kissin’ you...”

5/” C’mon Montana!” Lucy cried as she jabbed at the elevator button over and over again, as if it would hurry the elevator up.

“It’s mommy to you, little girl.” Lindsay giggled as she jogged down the hallway.

Her little family really did drive her crazy, even made her mad at times.

But at the end of every day, she wouldn’t change them for the world.”

That was beyond cute! I love the Messer Family...they're so cute. :) and I love little 6 year old Lucy...great job mixing her personality with a bit of both Danny and Lindsay. Can't wait for a new story!

Very sweet, thought it was quite out of character for Danny to be all okay about the boy talk. But then it turned back around at the end. :P
