This story was VERY well done. It flowed well, had an engaging plot, and had the requisite bit of Janto angst. And nary a grammatical error anywhere! The only bit I didn't get was why, if the toy is designed to let children block out the wash of information around them, did it have the opposite effect on Ianto? Why did it make him able to feel the information contained in the vortex when it's designed to help block out all that? Even with that, though, it was an excellent story.

Here's to the AU-ey declarations of love. Good story. Nicely paced in the TW continuity. Worth expanding.

I really don't know where to start. I love your characterisation of Jack and Ianto, both individually and as a couple, the way there is such tender concern between them, but it's never openly admitted. And Ianto's comment about Jack being concerned, when he was so worried before, and him thinking that was a dream... If he finds out what happened, I wonder, will he realise it was real?

I did not see the toy coming. This story was awesome. Also this:

Jack shrugged. “I don’t know. This happened to a friend of mine, before. She took the vortex into her head on purpose. It’s always the people-” I love.

Ianto’s hand tightened on Jack’s leg. Jack felt an almost electric bounce of surprise travel through his arms and into his head and back again. Then Ianto cracked a smile. “Heard that.”

was so beautiful, because it let's Ianto know that Jack loves him without Jack having to say it because Jack just doesn't seem the type to say the actual words out loud, which makes it so much sadder and heartwrenching that Ianto will now think he dreamed the moment.

That was absolutely brilliant. I loved that the Doctor popped up into the story to give Jack a hand with Ianto. :) This is definitely going on my favorites.

Also, please don't stop posting here! I really love your style of writing (it's FANTASTIC!), and I would be crushed if you disappeared from ! *begs* So please, DON'T LEAVE! lol

Anyway, thanks for writing such a great story. It really made my day.

I really enjoyed the story. I thought the introduction of the Gallifreyan toy was good, and I liked the Doctor's explanation for its existence. Interesting idea - someone should design one for human children.

Don't go to LiveJournal! It confuses me. I like getting nice emails into my inbox telling me what's going on. Otherwise I forget, and remember three months later, and find hours and hours worth of reading that I can't do justice to. And your writing deserves justice. Because it's brilliant.
